The project is being developed by Xiaolu Lithium Battery New Energy (Jining) Co., Ltd. with a total investment of 1.15 billion yuan and a total floor area of 40,000 square meters. It will introduce new production lines for 1 GWh of cylindrical lithium-ion batteries and 2 GWh of cylindrical sodium-ion batteries. All equipment consists of the most advanced fully automated production machinery currently available in China. Notably, the fully automated sodium-ion battery production line is the first of its kind in the global industry. Sodium-ion batteries offer multiple advantages, including high safety and reliability, high energy density, long cycle life, and excellent cost-effectiveness. The products are primarily intended for high-end power tools, small power applications,

digital home appliances, and the energy storage market, with performance comparable to that of major battery manufacturers such as BYD and South Korea’s LG. The project has obtained national approval and holds invention patents in China, the United States, Japan, and South Korea. Upon completion and reaching full production capacity, it will have an annual production capacity of 160 million lithium-ion and sodium-ion energy storage batteries, generating annual sales revenue of 2 billion yuan and profits and taxes of 200 million yuan, while creating over 300 jobs.
